Yes! We have a manual in English, German, French and Spanish! This is not a class where we follow the manual. Susanna follows the energy. She loves it when you ask questions. The manual is there to give extra depth to the class.

The Wickenburgh Estate is located between the orchards in the village of 't Goy, near Houten (Utrecht), in the centre of the Netherlands. It is a beautiful green and peaceful setting, with the manor house as its focal point. The late-Medieval dove tower and the manor house together form an attractive whole with a rich history. The estate has a total area of about 15 hectares; our part consists of about 6 hectares and includes a meadow, with a driveway, parkland around the house and forest.

History
The Wickenburgh Estate is a family estate whose history stretches back to the year 1300. Since 1741, it has been owned by the Wttewaall family. Around 1860, the manor house was rebuilt to its current form. The building still contains many old historical details, such as an 18th century marble floor and panelling, and here and there you can still find 17th century beams. After 2003 Otto Wttewaall and his family set about restoring their part of the estate to its 1860s glory.

We have around 40 parking places available at the other side of the road.

Public Transport
You take the train to “Houten Castellum” and you book a “train-taxi” (12,25 Euro) through this link.

Please know that you have to order online and allow for at least 30 minutes for the
taxi to arrive.

There are loads of really nice hotels in the area, but none that are at walking distance to the venue.

You can make a reservation for lunch.
Reservations have to be made 2 days in advance. The price of the lunch is 12,50 € (VAT included). The payment is in cash.
The lunch includes soup, sandwiches and some quiche or toast.
